Privacy Policy

The short version
- Moving a chat to another AI and exporting it to Markdown happen in your browser. We don't upload those conversations.
- When you use ✨ Optimize, the text you're writing (and, if you allow it, a short part of the recent conversation) is sent to our server and to Google's Gemini API to rewrite it. We don't store that text.
- We store your email address, your plan and license, and daily usage counts so limits and Pro work.
- We don't sell your data, show ads, or use your data for anything unrelated to running AIPorter.
Who we are
AIPorter ("we", "us") makes the AIPorter browser extension and the website aiporter.pro. If you have any question about this policy or your data, email support@aiporter.pro.
AIPorter is independent and is not affiliated with OpenAI, Anthropic or Google.
What the extension can access
AIPorter only runs on these three sites: chatgpt.com, claude.ai and gemini.google.com. It cannot see other websites, your other tabs or your browsing history. It asks Chrome for these permissions:

What we collect and why
1. Account information
To use AIPorter you create an account with your email address and a password, and confirm your email with a one-time code. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider (Supabase) and stored only in hashed form. We use your email to sign you in, apply your plan and limits, send license keys and important service messages, and answer support requests. We don't send marketing email unless you ask for it.
2. Prompts you choose to optimize
When you click ✨ Optimize or press its shortcut, the extension sends:
- the text currently in the message box,
- a short excerpt of the recent conversation on that page, for context, only if the "send context" setting is on (it is on by default and you can turn it off in the extension), and
- which site you're on (ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini).
Our server passes the text to Google's Gemini API to generate the rewritten prompt and returns the result to you. We do not save the prompt, the context or the rewritten text in our database. Google processes it under the Gemini API Additional Terms of Service. Please don't put passwords, payment details or other sensitive information into text you optimize.
3. Usage records
To enforce daily limits and keep the service reliable, we store, linked to your email: how many optimizations, transfers and exports you've used today, when you were last active, and for each optimization a short technical log (the site, success or error, response time and which Gemini model answered). These records do not contain your prompts or conversations.
4. Plan, license and devices
If you buy Pro or Team, we store your license key, plan, purchase amount and currency, which payment provider was used, expiry date, and a random device ID created by the extension for each device you activate (so we can apply the device limit). The device ID is not linked to your hardware or anything else on your computer.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by our payment provider. They collect your payment details directly and we never see or store your full card number. We receive a confirmation of the purchase, your email and the amount.
6. Data kept only on your device
The extension stores some data in Chrome's local storage on your computer: your sign-in session, plan, settings, usage counters, timestamps of messages you've sent on each AI site (only to show the usage counter, never the message content), and, for a few seconds during a transfer, the conversation being moved. This data never leaves your device except as described above, and it's removed when you sign out or uninstall the extension.
7. Transfers and exports
When you transfer a chat or export it to Markdown, the conversation is read and formatted in your browser, then pasted into the destination site, downloaded as a file, or copied to your clipboard. We don't receive the conversation. We only record that one transfer or export happened, to count it toward your daily limit. Once a chat is pasted into another AI service, that service's own privacy policy applies to it.
8. This website
aiporter.pro does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and reliability. The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when you visit.
Who processes your data
We use a small number of service providers, only to run AIPorter:

These providers may store or process data in countries other than yours, including the United States. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our users and service from fraud or abuse. If AIPorter is ever sold or merged, this policy will continue to apply to the data we hold.
What we never do
- We don't sell or rent your data.
- We don't use or transfer your data for advertising, credit checks or lending.
- We don't use your data for anything other than providing and improving AIPorter's features described here.
- We don't let people read your data, except when you ask us to (for example in a support request), when needed for security or abuse investigations, or when the law requires it.
AIPorter's use of information received from Chrome follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How long we keep data
We keep your account, plan and usage records while your account is open. If you ask us to delete your account, we delete your data within 30 days, except records we must keep for tax or accounting (such as purchase records), which we keep only as long as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
- Turn off context. Switch off "send context" in the extension so only the text you're writing is sent for optimization.
- Don't use Optimize. Transfers and exports never send your conversations to us.
- Access, correct, export or delete. Email support@aiporter.pro from your account email and we'll respond within 30 days.
- Uninstall. Removing the extension deletes everything it stored on your device.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe, the UK GDPR, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have further rights, including to object to processing or complain to your data protection authority. We'll help you exercise them.
Security
All data between the extension, our servers and our providers is encrypted in transit with HTTPS. Access to our database is restricted, and server keys are never shipped inside the extension. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever learn of a breach that affects you, we'll tell you without undue delay.
Children
AIPorter is not meant for children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has given us data, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change is significant, for example collecting a new kind of data, we'll tell you in the extension or by email before it takes effect.
